Sangamo is a genomic medicine company that seeks to help millions of people who suffer from severe diseases for which today’s medicine can only offer symptom management at best. Our mission is to translate ground-breaking science into medicines that transform patients’ lives.

Our employees’ safety

At Sangamo, we believe that vaccination is the best way to keep ourselves and our communities safe. As a result, beginning November 1, 2021, all U.S. new hires must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide documentation, confirming their status, prior to their start date. If you are unable to receive the vaccine, you will have an opportunity to request a reasonable accommodation consistent with applicable laws. This requirement is a condition of employment at Sangamo, and it applies regardless of whether the position is located onsite or fully remote, or if it is a regular or contract role.

Our decision is grounded in the science and driven by the imperative to protect our people and sustain our research, development, and manufacturing of essential medicines for patients facing serious and life-threatening diseases. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the second dose vaccine or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine has been administered.
